Week 42 was a bit weird. I feel like I made a lot of progress and got a lot of work done but paradoxically didn’t actually get through many videos or exercises. As I mentioned last week, I’ve been working through what are known as Trigonometric Identities which are essentially different types of formulas that… Read More Week 42 – Slow Progress, Real Understanding

So I didn’t finish the unit Trigonometric Equations and Identities this week. My worry that the unit would end up being substantially more difficult than the previous ones in Trigonometry ended up coming true. I also came to a section that I’m fairly certain KA hadn’t properly prepared me for. That being said, I did… Read More Week 41 – Trigonometric Identities: Learning the Hard Way

This week I achieved my goal of getting through two units, The Unit Circle Definition of Sine, Cosine and Tangent and Graphs of Trigonometric Functions. I finished about half of the former unit in Week 39 so wrapping that up wasn’t too difficult. Getting through the latter unit took me about 5 days but proved… Read More Week 40 – Trigonometry: Connecting the Dots

This week I only got through a unit and a half on KA. I finished the unit Trigonometry with General Triangles and got halfway through the following unit, The Unit Circle Definition of Sine, Cosine, and Tangent (typing that out, I just realized how terrible or a name that is). I probably should have got… Read More Week 39 – The Laws of Sines, Cosines, and Terrible Unit Names

This week I only got through one unit, Trigonometry With Right Angles. I would say ~80% of it was review, which I found fairly helpful, and the last ~20% of it was new material I haven’t covered up to this point. This week I went away to a cottage and managed to spend about an… Read More Week 38 – A Cottage, Some Trigonometry, and Back to Work

Ok, so I’m not progressing as quickly as I had hoped BUT, even still, I’m surprisingly happy with the progress that I’ve been making. This week I did the course test of Algebra 2 twice and ended off with a 90% (27/30 questions correct). When I do the unit tests, I always make sure to… Read More Week 37 – Algebra 2 Complete: A 90% Finish

I am completely frustrated right now. I didn’t get through the second half of the unit Rational Expressions this week but, believe me, I f***ing tried. I spent 4 to 5 hours yesterday working through KA finishing the last section of the unit and attempting to get through the unit test. I attempted the unit… Read More Week 36 – 89 Out of 90 Steps—Four Times

Unfortunately, I didn’t get through the course Algebra 2 by the end of April. That has been my goal for approximately the past 4 weeks and not achieving it is definitely a bit of a bummer. That being said, I’m 100% satisfied with the effort I put forward to try to finish the course by… Read More Week 35 – A Missed Goal, but Progress All the Same

Once again I did not have the successful week I was hoping for this week and just barely managed to get through one unit, Trigonometry. I would say, however, that I worked harder this week than any other week up to this point and was able wrap my head around certain concepts that before this… Read More Week 34 – Trigonometry: Frustrating, Then Rewarding

Sitting down to write this post, I don’t have the good news I was hoping to have. I only got through the unit Equations this week but it certainly wasn’t due to a lack of effort. Looking back through my notebook, I wrote out 22 pages (front and back) worth of notes this week which… Read More Week 33 – 22 Pages of Notes, One Unit Complete
