Although I technically only finished the unit test this morning (Monday, Nov. 25th), I managed to get through the unit Functions this past week. This unit has been the most difficult for me in the course Algebra 1. I began the week working through questions on intervals while using number lines and learned what the… Read More Week 12 – FUN-ctions, as Promised

This week I started and finished the unit Inequalities (Systems & Graphs). In this unit, the questions began by having me manipulate inequalities, many of which took essentially the same form as linear equations (Slope Intercept form, Point Slope Form, and Standard Form), and had me solve for one or two variables. After having worked… Read More Week 11 – The Rules of Inequality

Writing this now, I still think they can be tricky, but I’m happy to say I just passed the unit test of System of Equations with a 100% score on my first try! What’s even better is… Read More Week 10 – Systems of Equations: From Frustration to 100%

My favorite sport to watch is hockey (go Leafs go!). If you didn’t already know, in hockey, if a team scores 3 goals in one game it’s called getting a hat trick. This week I got the KA equivalent of a hat trick. I’m happy to say I finished three units this week, Solving Equations… Read More Week 9 – A Khan Academy Hat Trick
